Journey to True Identification
When you look in the mirror, who do you see?
Can you personally blurt out the answer to this question without a second thought, without any hesitation? I’m more inclined to believe that most people will contemplate, pick apart and digest this question before blurting out their answer. Of course I could be 10% wrong!
When I look in the mirror, it’s not a question of who I see, but what I see. I see split ends, I see circles under my eyes, I see dry skin, I see “I don’t want to go to work today”. Being asked, “Who do I see?”, makes me stop and think - Who DO I see????
I use the mirror to spot imperfections that can use a quick fix, such as dry lips, misplaced hair, a blouse buttoned wrong. How many people actually use the mirror to see who they are?
I am personally aware that there is a certain healing modality that uses the mirror effect. It has been my experience to witness people so uncomfortable with themselves that they could not look in the mirror. Do these same people look in the mirror every day for grooming? Why is it so easy to look in the mirror and see 'what' yet so difficult for most to see who?
************************************************************************ This is an introduction to a series with many parts that will take us on a journey to true identification. I would like for us to go on this journey together. Let’s look beyond the image we see in the mirror and explore who we see in the mirror. It is possible that what we see is affecting how we perceive not only ourselves, but our families, our loved ones, our friends, strangers, the world.
Something to Think About
Are we so adamant about what we see that we have come to believe that what we see is who we see?
Please feel free to email me with your questions, comments and experiences. This is our journey together.

NOTE: Series will be written only if people participate to keep this from being a one person journey. My personal journey has taken me far and I continue to grow and create. Those who would like to share their journey please do so by responding to this first series via email. Thank you.
